

Courses - NVQ Level 2, 3 & 4
These awards form part of the national qualifications framework and are recognised by industry bodies. The awards are available at Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4. The courses are a
combination of core and optional units selected according to your particular speciality.
Who is it for?
Those people who support and assist individuals with their physical and emotional care:
• Within a hospital.
• Within the community.
• Within a residential or nursing home.
• Within a day care setting.
Content
• Level 2 - There are 6 units including 4 core units and 2 units selected to match your role.
• Level 3 - Separate qualifications are available for those working with adults or young people and children. This qualification is suitable for those who often work without direct supervision. There are 8 units including 4 core units and 4 optional units selected to match your job role.
• Level 4 - Separate qualifications are available for those working with adults or young people
and children. This qualification is designed for supervisory staff and management roles. There are 8 units including 4 core units and 4 optional units selected to match your job role.
Delivery and Assessment
The course is assessed from a portfolio that you will produce under the guidance of your assessor from evidence generated during your daily routine. All course materials and documents are provided.
